We stop what we are doing, just for a moment, to think, to breathe, to notice something, to look, to listen …. WE PAUSE!
We are, just for a moment, bringing out attention to something. Some might think of it as being diverted … getting sidetracked .. even daydreaming. For others it may represent being with a fleeting thought … may be something that feels uncomfortable … or it could just be a fleeting moment of LOVE .. or WONDER .. or CURIOSITY.
Have you noticed that CHILDREN DO THIS NATURALLY .. they take a pause .. hundreds of them .. all day long.But what if that PAUSE actually became something that we do CONSCIOUSLY?
What if :
It gives you the space to feel how you can respond to someone instead of reacting
It gives you a moment in a busy day, just to breathe .. and feel that movement that air entering and leaving your lungs
If it allows you to rest with something you have just seen …. or heard and really appreciate it
If it allows you to do NOTHING …. just to BE
